CLEAR lab is based in St. John’s at Memorial University. We have two positions for Research Assistants to process plastic pollution samples in biota (animals hunted or caught for food) from Nunatsiavut. Research Assistants are full lab members who are also expected to attend weekly lab meetings and participate in other lab activities.

Position Details:

  • part-time 5-20 hours/week (depending on availability) September-December 2022, renewable.
  • Beneficiaries of Nunatsiavut are given priority, as per project requirements, followed by students at Memorial University
  • The lab is based at Memorial University in St. John’s
  • All training will be provided; experience in laboratory science is desirable but not necessary. We are more interested in hiring people who align with our values and vision
  • Wages are set by Memorial University and depend on experience. Undergraduate wages are $15.85/hour. Graduate students receive $22.22/hour. People who have graduated and are outside the university are paid more than $22.22 based on experience.
