From the series “How We Do Science” by Bojan Furst.

CLEAR is an experiment. It’s a place from which to enact the values and goals of feminism and anti-colonialism through science. But how to do this isn’t always clear. While we produce data, papers, and graduates, our most important creations are our methods: how we run meetings, how we choose research questions, how we count plastics, and with whom.

The menu in this section provides an overview of some of our methods, as well as an explanation of feminist and anti-colonial science. The Citizen Science page also has some specific protocols. Most of all, our Lab Book makes the links between what we value and how we manifest those values in scientific practice.
