Microplastics can easily disappear between rocks when beaches aren’t sandy. We are working to develop the Fogo Protocol, named after Fogo Island where we are testing it, to be able to quantify the amount of microplastics on rocky shores. This protocol is sill in progress. In the meantime, you can build and use the PED ROC to capture micoplastics on rocky shores.
